Meet PJ
From District B. For District B.
PJ is running for office because he believes District B deserves leadership that listens, shows up, and delivers results.
His commitment to public service began in childhood through student government and continued throughout his life. As president of Glenwood Forest, PJ witnessed many of the challenges facing local neighborhoods—including poor infrastructure, illegal dumping, neglected properties, crime, slow emergency response times, food insecurity, and limited access to quality grocery stores.
That experience convinced him that standing on the sidelines was no longer an option.
PJ later served as Director of Constituent Services for Council Member Tarsha Jackson. In that role, he listened to residents, helped families navigate local government, and gained firsthand experience addressing community concerns. Running to represent District B is the next step in his lifelong commitment to service.
Why do you love District B?
I love the determination of our residents and their desire to move this district forward. The people of District B care deeply about their neighborhoods, families, and future.
Why did you decide to run?
While serving as president of Glenwood Forest, I saw a lack of leadership and too much gatekeeping. I also saw poor infrastructure, neglected homes, high crime, slow emergency response times, food insecurity, and limited access to strong grocery stores.
I realized that standing on the sidelines was no longer an option.
What concerns are you hearing from residents?
Residents are concerned about illegal dumping, dirty neighborhoods, environmental health issues, potholes, and cracked streets. People want to live in a community that is clean, safe, and cared for.
These issues are personal to me because I am from this community. When District B struggles, I struggle with it—and when District B succeeds, we all move forward together.
Who inspired you to run?
The residents of District B and our community civic clubs inspired me to take this step. Their determination, ideas, and commitment remind me every day why this work matters.
What experience has prepared you to serve?
My commitment to public service began with student government when I was a child. Later, I served as president of Glenwood Forest and worked as Director of Constituent Services for Council Member Tarsha Jackson.
These experiences taught me how to listen, solve problems, work with local government, and advocate for residents.
What do residents deserve from their representative?
Residents deserve accountability, transparency, responsive leadership, and someone who genuinely listens. They deserve a representative who loves this community, fights for it, produces results, and shows up every time.
What will your first priorities be?
My first priorities will be:
Cleaning up illegal dumping and neglected areas
Working to increase HPD patrols
Helping residents establish strong community-watch organizations
What is your vision for District B?
I want District B to become a place where everyone wants to live—a community that is clean, safe, secure, and full of opportunity.
What do you want voters to know about you?
I am here to help, and I am ready to move District B forward.
I am not running for a title. I am running to do the work, open doors, bring residents into the conversation, and ensure that every neighborhood is seen, heard, and served.
